Working closely with the School of Nursing, the new 10,000 square foot center was designed to provide a flexible, multi-use, efficient space that simulates a variety of realistic hospital settings. The center includes a reception area, office space, Flex Instructional Space, and a Simulation Center. The Simulation Center not only supports the advancement of the School of Nursing, placing it among the top in the nation, but also serves as a model education center that attracts visitors from nursing education centers from around the country.
All of these spaces align to create a realistic hospital scenario and nurse training facility within a university setting. The design of the space is sensitive to the educators desire to shape a profound educational experience for their students.
