A Gateway to Indiana

Wednesday's ribbon cutting at the new Clear Creek Welcome Center marked an exciting milestone for Indiana and for Synthesis as the project’s architect.

Located on I-70 near the Illinois state line, the center is part of INDOT’s statewide modernization plan to reimagine welcome centers as true gateways that reflect Indiana’s character.

Clear Creek celebrates the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” through form, light, and motion. Every detail, from the brick bands and SAFER Barrier along the entry drive to the checkered north façade, was designed to evoke speed, tradition, and pride of place.

Synthesis is proud to have worked with an incredible team including Indiana Department of Transportation Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Janssen Spaans Engineering, Fink Roberts & Petrie, Applied Engineering Services, RATIO, HAMILTON, and Hannig Construction, Inc., whose expertise made this vision a reality.
