But over time, the way people use these spaces has shifted. What once centered around seated viewing now leans toward movement, conversation, and flexibility. The challenge wasn’t just to refresh the look, it was to rethink how the space performs.

Balancing Legacy with a New Standard

The design team approached the renovation with a clear goal: elevate the experience without losing the identity of the Indianapolis Colts.

Rather than overwrite the existing architecture, the design works with it. A refined palette of whites, grays, browns, and tans, paired with woven textures, creates a more contemporary feel while complementing the stadium’s existing woodwork and signature blue.

The result is a space that feels updated, but still unmistakably part of the Colts experience.

Designing for Movement, Not Just Seating

One of the most impactful shifts came from rethinking the furniture strategy.

Traditional lounge seating was replaced with high-top harvest tables and barstools, a move that fundamentally changes how the space is used. Guests are no longer anchored to a seat. They move, gather, and engage with one another, all while maintaining clear sightlines to the field.

The space now supports what was already happening informally, turning passive viewing into an active, social experience.

A More Dynamic Suite Environment

In the Quarterback Suite, this approach is pushed further.

A mix of taller furnishings at the back and lower seating near the front creates a natural gradient of activity. Guests can step back to connect and converse or move forward to re-engage with the game. Lighter, more flexible furniture arrangements reinforce this sense of flow, while durable materials like quartz and metal ensure the space holds up under constant use.

While rooted in game day, the suites are designed to perform well beyond football.

From concerts to corporate events, the flexibility of the layout allows the space to adapt to different types of gatherings without feeling overdesigned for any one of them. This versatility strengthens the stadium’s role as a year-round destination.

The renovation ultimately does more than update finishes. It repositions the suite as an environment for connection, one that reflects how people gather today while staying grounded in the identity of the venue.
